The Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan Scheme provided by Home energy Scotland provides financial assistance to homeowners installing renewable heating systems, such as air source heat pumps. This support includes:

Grants: Up to £7,500 for renewable heating systems.

Rural Uplift: An extra £1,500 grant for homes in rural or island areas, increasing the total grant to £9,000.

Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan Scheme (Scotland)
The Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan Scheme is a Scottish Government scheme administered by Energy Saving Trust. It is available to homeowners in Scotland only and currently offers:
• A grant of up to £7,500 towards a qualifying renewable heating system such as an air source heat pump • An optional, separate interest-free loan of up to £7,500 from the Scottish Government to help cover additional costs • A rural uplift of an additional £1,500 grant for eligible rural or island homes, which can take the total grant to £9,000

Eligibility
Any government funding is subject to eligibility criteria, including property type and approval by the relevant scheme administrator. MCS certification is a qualifying requirement for these schemes, but it is not in itself a source of funding. A quotation from an MCS installer does not guarantee an application will be approved or that any specific level of funding will be paid.
