Our team covers a wide range of remedial works and upgrades for existing properties. We service many homes that are undergoing refurbishments or having extensions added to the property.

We can quote on a wide range of different remedial solutions in existing properties. These include above ground drainage, hot and cold feeds and heating feeds.

We also quote for different types of installations such as heating installations, including radiators, boiler airing cupboards and also water softener systems. We also offer hot and cold first and  second fix (for bathrooms ad kitchen sink connections. Another popular area of work for ourselves is underfloor heating installations.

On small extensions or retro fit heating and hot water systems, where possible we will often use copper as it is still the best way to guarantee you will not have any issues in years to come with joints failing from O-rings going brittle and pipe/fitting wear and tear.

About Refurbishments & Extensions

We work with many medium to large-scale building contractors and can quote for multiple housing plots.

On lager projects we will use the MLCP system. This is an aluminium lined pipe that is often used for underfloor heating systems. It is a great alternative to copper pipe and surpasses plumbing systems such as Speedfit and Hep20 as it is lined with a ridged metal so it remains in shape when bent making it easier to work with and does not lose its structure over time causing it to sag in ceiling voids due to heating and cooling.

The alloy lining also means its less likely to be damaged by rodents or any other potential sharp objects. The fittings used to make the connections are constructed from brass with an aluminium sheath that’s clamped onto the pipework with a crimping tool. This is a permanent jointing method that cannot be undone giving the fitter and customer piece of mind.

When extending your home, it’s important to assess whether your current heating system can handle the additional space. You may need a larger boiler, additional radiators, or even underfloor heating in the new area. We, as professional heating engineers can evaluate your system’s capacity and recommend upgrades or adjustments to ensure consistent heating throughout your home.

Yes, a refurbishment is an ideal time to upgrade your heating system. You can install a more energy-efficient boiler, add smart heating controls, or even switch to a renewable energy system like a heat pump. Upgrading during a refurbishment helps minimise disruption and future-proof your home’s heating needs while adding re-sale value.

To improve energy efficiency, consider installing insulation in the walls, floors, and roof of your new extension. This is a perfect time to discuss options around double or triple glazing on windows and doors to reduce heat loss. Additionally, upgrading your heating system to a more efficient model or adding smart thermostats can help lower your energy bills and make your home more environmentally friendly.
